You Asked, We Answered!

What do you do if you can't afford an orthodontist?

Sometimes, patients hesitate to schedule an appointment due to concerns about the cost, even if they really want to straighten their teeth. If that’s the case for you, then we recommend giving us a call. That way, we can discuss the different financial solutions that are available. Our Preferred Plan, for example, includes five years of retainer checks as well as a post-treatment whitening kit (ages 16+).

How do I get emergency orthodontic care?

Is one of your wires loose? Did you lose one of your aligners? No matter what the case is, the best thing to do is to call our team at Simply Orthodontics. That way, we can learn what happened, schedule an appointment at our Derry office, and guide you through what to do until you arrive. For example, if you misplaced your trays, then we may ask you to wear the previous set until a replacement arrives.

How can I find a female orthodontist?

Asking friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues that you trust for their recommendations is a great place to start. If you want a more immediate response, you can type “female orthodontist near me” into Google as well. Of course, if you reside in or around Derry, then you can simply schedule an appointment with our team at Simply Orthodontics! After all, we have a talented, experienced, and caring orthodontist at our office: Dr. Naz.

Dr. Naz earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and PhD in Orthodontics from Near East University in Cyprus. What level of education is required to be an orthodontist?

The process of becoming an orthodontist requires immense dedication. The first step? To obtain an undergraduate degree and be accepted to an accredited dental school in the US. From there, they must complete 3+ years of in-classroom and hands-on training to obtain their dental doctorate.

Although the aspiring orthodontist has completed roughly seven years of schooling at this point, their journey isn’t over. They must also complete specialty training in orthodontics. Plus, they need to pursue continuing education hours each year to maintain their license!
